Dewi Sant Lodge No: – 9067

We are honoured and privileged to have our Provincial Master RW Bro. Gareth Jones, OBE as a member of the Lodge. We are likewise honoured to include an Assistant Provincial Grand Master in Stephen Charles Evan Harries as a member and a Past Master of the Lodge. The Lodge also benefits from the support of a number of Officers of the United Grand Lodge of England.

The Lodge was founded 1983 and currently meets at The Bridgend Masonic Hall.
We meet on the third Wednesday of October, November, December, March (Election Night) and April (Annual Installation).

(The Lodge carries out all Three Degrees in English and demonstration ceremonies in the Welsh language.)

We extend a warm and fraternal welcome to Brethren throughout the UK who are members of our Constitution to visit Dewi Sant Lodge. In fact, if there is part of the Ritual that a Brother who is Welsh speaking and would like to deliver a part of the ritual at any of our Welsh ceremonies then, please contact the Lodge Secretary.

The members are also prepared to visit Lodges who would like to like to have a ceremony delivered in the Welsh language. The Lodge has provided such visits in previous years at Neath, Llanelli and Aberaeron.

The Lodge also has a number of Brethren who have reached high office in a number of other ‘side-degrees’ in Freemasonry.

The Holy Royal Arch

There exists an indissoluble link between the Craft Lodge and the The Holy Royal Arch. As the Lodge has a diverse membership spread over this and other Provinces, the Lodge benefits from a spectrum of Holy Royal Arch Masons and Supreme Grand Chapter Officers. The Brethren are particularly honoured that our current PGM, RW Bro. Gareth Jones, OBE, holds the prestigious office of The Most Excellent Third Grand Principal.

The Mark Degree: –

The Lodge likewise benefits from being closely associated with Dewi Sant Mark Lodge (Cyfrinfa Marc Dewi Sant Rhif: – 1914) which meets, operates and discharges its business wholly through the medium of Welsh.

We are honoured to have the Provincial Grand Master of the Mark Degree, V. W. Bro. Thomas Richard Eirian Jones – PGJO, RAMGR as a Past Master and founder member. The Lodge also benefits from the support of a number of Officers of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons.
